...when I attempted to take computer programming *yeah, like that went well* in grade 10 I think it was? Well anyhow...I was sitting there beside a girl I was kinda friends with just drawing and minding my own business, when a well know shit disturber walks up to me. I look up like 'what the heck is he doing here?' *because we weren't friends* and he flat out says to me "Your art will never get you anywhere" and walks away. He sat halfway across the room and walked all the way over just to say that.
That wasn't the first or last time something happened like that. I lost count of how many times some one either looked over my should at my drawings or asked to look at my book, then would turn and say to me 'well, so-and-so is
much better than you'. There was also the 'maybe if you finished something you'd be good' and 'why is everything all scribbly?'.
And, apparently, since I was a mere wannabe-artist I had no rights to protect my drawings. There were also moments of 'You can't hide them from me. It's my right to see them you know.' *yes, this did happen. During a power outage, some girl got all fussy because I was in the middle of something and didn't want to show her when she rudely disrupted me*
Not that I was expecting ass-pats and praise, but the only peoples standards I ever seemed to suit were those that were family and close friends *honestly making me wonder if it was all in my head, maybe I was the worst artist in the world and they didn't have the heart to tell me!*
So, obviously, I'm not at the point now where I can turn around and say 'haha, I proved you wrong' and maybe I'll never be as good as whoever people think so-and-so is this week...but maybe in the future just for five seconds I'll get to be the so-and-so that everyone talks about
It might be kinda cool. Like having a magic wand that shoots rainbows and puppies.

The gestures and pose of the subjects. There seems some subtlety in them. Well, maybe, it's just me but I like sketchy drawings.
In high school when people would ask for my drawings, I would quickly close the book and lock it between my arms and my body.
It's a fatal flaw i'm sure. but it's how i am.
'cept vectors, and after more than 60 hours i just finished one. Well hrs is a guess i don't keep track....

I got into the habit of hiding my work from others for a while, it hasn't done me any good but on the positive side I've had no more awkward moments stemming from 'why are your people naked?'

Of course! If I hated it I would never do it! But I certainly have my days where I hate everything I make and get frustrated xD I sometimes wished that I lived in this imaginary made up place in my head where everyone was artists and everyone was supportive on your off days xD
Unfortunately I live in a place where everyone talks about cows.

i had to deal with things and much worse over the years in my child hood, i got to the point where i just had enough and said.
"Fuck you, im doing it any ways because i like it, and now even more just to spit in your face"
do your thing and if some one doesnt like it, do it again

i dont care what you make on here, i will comment on the skills used to make your work of art, not what it is.
